Your Web Space and Website publishing using WebDAV

Important Note - Plan B:
WebDAV is currently unavailable. The replacement web server requires a security certificate. You will find instructions on how to access your web space in the document: Life beyond WebDAV
Introduction
The Computer Science department provides a development web server for students. Historically, students have used FTP to publish their sites. However, this has become difficult to manage and secure, as the latest generation of home routers are tied down by the ISPs and don't allow FTP into the University network.
The department have now adopted WebDAV as the technique for publishing web sites. This site explains the concepts of WebDAV and provides configuration information for using WebDAV from a variety of hosts and software tools.
